किस तरह

किस तरह ये रात बीते
इस रात से जुड़े जस्बात बीतें
मदहोशी के बावजूद गर होश में रहना पड़े
तो किस तरह ये रात बीते
छुपाने जैसा कुछ नहीं
मगर फिर भी लगे छुपाने जैसे
ये कैसे सवालों में दिन बीतें
ये किस तरह हम ज़िन्दगी है जीते
सब कुछ मान कर भी
हर कुछ ज़ाहिर नहीं कर सकते
क्यों ऐसे बंधे हुए अलफ़ाज़ कहते
ये कैसे अंदाज़ ज़िन्दगी की
किस तरह ये लम्बी रात बीते 

Catastrophe

It was a cumbersome night

And I woke up with the same nag of thoughts

My mind was still there, stuck,

Not relieved by the sleep, not even an inch

His memory, still stung like a bee

And with a swelling this time

It has started to show on my skin!  

I cry in the bathroom and the gallery

To vent out or try so at least,

He never liked me on my own you see,

And now his memories ensure the agony

Such is my own Catastrophe!!

Shambles

The Pink Black Hole 

The Night was deepening, 

And they were both in shambles;

Reminiscing their own pieces,

Picking them one by one,

They spoke to each other in signs; 

Told each other to read between the lines.

Exhaling a little fake laughter every now &  then,

Fearing the night, fearing the next sun!  

Longer the conversation went, harder it became to hide,

They both missed right now,

What slipped from their hands...in time! 

The Night Roads

Glistening and calm,
Tired from the day and stretching their arms,
The long curves of the empty roads,
And us breaking their little nap

The midnight trees bend to make a little love,
And the breeze sets in just the perfect mood,
Neon dividers radiate even more,
And us diving through the glorious slope,

The night was deep and without any moon,
Only them and us and a little song,
We let them go back to the nap as we pass
And us riding further, stirring their pause!




The next time you go for a midnight ride, carry this little thought with you, 
You might be disturbing silence of many, let them make their love, let them unite with the peace.
