Departure

 I have picked my favorite flowers for my own funeral

And I have created a playlist of my favorite songs to play once I am gone

My departure dress is all ironed and scented, hung rightmost in my wardrobe, 

And I have carefully enveloped last love notes, pressed nicely in my jewelry box

I plan to leave just the way I met you

All giggles, magical and unannounced

I have been loved in this beautiful world

I have given love, and more than I thought I had

So, wave me bye, and smile while you do that

No hanging threads, no turmoil

I will see you here and there in this wonderful world

Our paths may cross again, maybe in another disguise, in another lifetime
